  ____Story____

  Noah Ararat was reborn as the emperor’s 13th child. As any usual OP MC anime, Noah was given a blessing/gift: the ability to level up infinitely and another ability that stacks the power of anyone who serves him. His previous experience, in combination with his intelligence and power gifted from artifacts containing the strength of powerful beings, allows him to rise up the ranks easily. However, he faces lots of conflicts and trials inside and outside of his family. Noah decides to handle many of these problems in his own ways while continuing to grow stronger and stronger with each decision he makes.

  ____The Good____

  The one thing that I think makes this show good is its storyline. Sure, it can seem boring or generic at the start, but I believe that it becomes better and more interesting as the plot progresses. I think that Noah’s rise in power was nice to watch and I’m glad that there wasn’t a lot of filler and a lot of development in these 12 episodes. Another nice thing about the story were the 4 powerful beings that were teased in the OP and how they were introduced one by one in different ways. I think that was well done and made their moment of connection even more impactful. I kind of liked Noah’s character design. There was just something about it that made seeing him more visually appealing compared to the others. The ending was something I could appreciate too. Despite the questionable time skip (Like Noah is NOT the age he seems to be), I liked how they wrapped it up and how they left room for a potential season 2. Honestly, I wouldn’t mind it.

  ____The Bad____

  I think the issues of this anime boil down to two things: animation and pacing. The lesser of the two issues, animation, really leaves a lot to be desired for in action sequences that take place somewhat frequently throughout the anime. I believe that some scenes in the show deserved more fluidity and quality in terms of how they were treated so it’d make them look way better. It did, however, get better over time, which I can appreciate. The second one, pacing, posed a bit of a challenge in terms of remembering everything that happened. It feels like with each episode, Noah developed either physically and or mentally, but they don’t give enough time to let these scenes in the episode marinate long enough for them to feel impactful. Some sections of the stories feel rushed, making them feel less interesting to me when they contribute to crucial moments later on in the story. It can be difficult to remember things that go by so quickly, and this show just felt like too many things happened too fast.

  ____The Downright Ugly____

  I don’t think the pacing’s bad enough to be downright ugly, so nothing downright ugly here.

  ____Is It Worth The Watch?____

  If you’re fine with really quick pacing, I think you might find this anime worth the watch. Honestly, I did enjoy watching this anime, but I did wish that this show spent more time letting certain important moments sink in especially if they’re crucial to character development or story progression, which is what most episodes felt like. Apart from the pacing, I think the story had its interesting parts and it wasn’t really that bad.

  Kizoku Tensei presents a premise with clear potential—reincarnation into nobility combined with overwhelming power—but ultimately fails to build a compelling narrative. What could have been an engaging political fantasy turns into a hollow and anticlimactic experience.

  __Lack of Limits and Narrative Tension __

  One of the most significant issues is the absence of real constraints. The protagonist begins already overpowered and continues to gain advantages without effort. Resources such as money and influence feel virtually infinite, and any obstacle is resolved almost immediately through convenient means.

  This constant reliance on narrative convenience eliminates tension. Conflicts never feel dangerous, and the story lacks any real stakes.

  __Weak and Inconsequential Conflicts __

  Although the series attempts to introduce political struggles and rivalries, these conflicts are poorly handled. They do not escalate, lack depth, and are resolved too quickly to leave any impact.

  Even the protagonist’s supposed main rival fails to feel threatening, making the central conflict of the story feel insignificant.

  __A Flat and Unrealistic Protagonist __

  The main character is defined by perfection rather than depth. He does not suffer, has no meaningful flaws, and shows no real development throughout the series.

  His repeated statements about valuing people are not supported by the narrative, as his actions do not lead to meaningful change in himself or others. This results in a protagonist who feels artificial and unrelatable.

  __Underdeveloped Supporting Cast __

  One of the most frustrating aspects of the series is how it constantly pushes secondary characters into the spotlight, only for them to have virtually no relevance.

  The show repeatedly presents characters as if they are important—giving them introductions, screen time, and emotional framing—yet they contribute nothing meaningful to the plot. Their actual value is effectively zero.

  Examples include:

  - A singer character whose role appears significant but ultimately has no impact on the story

  • The granddaughter of a powerful figure, who becomes tied to the protagonist yet adds nothing of substance
  • Groups such as maids and loyal knights, who exist mainly to praise the protagonist without influencing events

  These characters are continuously placed in front of the viewer as if they matter, but they never affect the narrative or its progression. This creates a sense of artificial importance that quickly becomes frustrating.

  __Wasted Narrative Potential __

  Several potentially interesting aspects are neglected. The protagonist’s past life is largely irrelevant, relationships remain static, and decisions carry no lasting consequences.

  This contributes to the overall sense that the story lacks weight and direction.

  __Production Quality __

  The animation and music are adequate but unremarkable. They do not stand out in any meaningful way and fail to compensate for the narrative shortcomings.

  __Final Verdict __

  Kizoku Tensei is a series that aims to appear grand but lacks the substance to support its ambitions. With no meaningful conflict, no character growth, and an overly perfect protagonist, it becomes a monotonous and anticlimactic experience.

  It is watchable, but difficult to recommend.

  To be honest, I didn’t go into this show expecting anything crazy, but the story actually turned out to be surprisingly solid. What really caught my attention was the complex political intrigue surrounding the Emperor and the succession struggles. It’s not about our main character, the 13th prince, trying to get rid of his older brothers. Instead, he acts as a strategic shield, both actively and passively countering their plots to protect the Emperor—while also ensuring the family's reputation doesn't suffer. A perfect example of this deep tactical chess match is when one of the princes tries to poison the Emperor using a clever combination of wine and a specific dish. The wine itself isn't toxic, making it impossible to trace back to him, but the combination is lethal. It’s exactly these kind of intricate mind games that elevate the show. I was also deeply impressed by how gritty the political atmosphere feels. The anime doesn't show graphic violence on screen, but it points out the ruthless consequences of treason. You hear the heavy whips when someone is publicly flogged to death for disrespecting the prince, and you are told when traitors get sliced open. This implication of brutality, rather than mindless gore, makes the empire's power dynamics feel incredibly chilling and fascinating.

  The main character himself is a bit of a mixed bag for me. On one hand, he has those typical, generic overpowered traits. Most of his raw power comes from his gear, like that legendary water sword Leviathan or his rings of fire and wind. My biggest critique here is how easily everything comes to him. He gets a legendary weapon and instantly masters it because the sword basically tells him what to do. It feels a bit too convenient and "mushy." I really missed seeing the blood, sweat, and tears—that genuine struggle and training it should take to control that kind of mana flow. On the other hand, his personality is actually great. He doesn't just flex his power to show off; he glints through his sheer presence. Especially how he views people and his servants as treasures, constantly thinking about how he can make life easier for those loyal to him, made him a pretty solid protagonist despite the shortcuts.

  When it comes to the visuals, we are looking at the absolute definition of standard. The animation is clean enough, but the fight scenes can be incredibly frustrating. It’s that typical style where the character delivers one or two slashes, the screen cuts to black for a second, and suddenly everyone is lying defeated on the ground. There are no grueling, hard-fought battles here, which is a shame, though the show clearly focuses more on the political story anyway. As for the side characters, like the Emperor, his uncle, or the funny, kind-hearted servants, they had some cool moments and interesting backstories. It was fun to see their intellect and wit at play, but they definitely don't stand on the same level as the MC.

  In the end, my overall enjoyment was right in the middle. The show had its exciting and tense moments, but it was also quite boring and predictable at times. You often know exactly who is going to do what before it even happens. It’s a decent one-time watch to pass the time, but definitely not a show I would ever rewatch. If you go in with zero expectations, you'll get a reasonably entertaining fantasy show that handles its political mind games surprisingly well, resulting in a fair overall score of 5.8 out of 10.

  Ich sage es ganz ehrlich: Ich bin ohne große Erwartungen an die Serie herangegangen, aber die Story hat mich letztendlich doch ziemlich positiv überrascht. Was mich echt gecatcht hat, war die komplexe politische Dynamik um den Kaiser und den Thronkampf. Es geht hier eben nicht darum, dass unser Hauptcharakter, der 13. Prinz, versucht seine älteren Brüder aus dem Weg zu räumen. Vielmehr agiert er sowohl aktiv als auch passiv als strategisches Schutzschild, um die Anschläge auf den Kaiser zu vereiteln—und sorgt gleichzeitig dafür, dass der Ruf der kaiserlichen Familie nicht darunter leidet. Ein perfektes Beispiel für diesen genialen Schachzug ist der Giftanschlag mit dem Wein: Der Wein selbst ist völlig harmlos, wird aber in Kombination mit einer bestimmten Speise tödlich, sodass der Verdacht niemals auf den Prinzen zurückgefallen wäre. Solche durchdachten Intrigen machen die Geschichte wirklich besonders. Auch das Thema politische Macht und die ungeschönte Härte im Hintergrund haben mich gepackt. Die Kamera hält hier zwar nicht blutig drauf, wenn jemand aufgeschlitzt wird, aber die unbarmherzigen Konsequenzen von Straftaten werden glasklar ausgesprochen und angedeutet. Wenn jemand den Prinzen respektlos behandelt und im Hintergrund in der Öffentlichkeit zu Tode ausgepeitscht wird, sieht man das nicht, aber man hört die Peitsche, bis die Ritterin eiskalt meldet, dass die Strafe vollstreckt ist. Diese angedeutete Brutalität im Kopf macht das Kaiserreich psychologisch extrem faszinierend.

  Der Hauptcharakter selbst ist für mich allerdings so eine Sache. Einerseits bringt er diese typischen 08/15-Eigenschaften mit: Er ist extrem stark, zieht diese Kraft aber primär aus seiner Ausrüstung, wie diesem Wasser-Schwert Leviathan oder den Ringen für Feuer und Wind. Mein größter Kritikpunkt ist einfach, dass ihm alles in den Schoß fällt. Er kriegt eine neue Waffe und kann sofort perfekt damit umgehen, weil das Schwert ihm quasi vorgibt, was er tun soll. Das ist mir etwas zu „matschig“ gelöst. Mir fehlt da einfach die spürbare Anstrengung, der Schweiß und die Tränen, die es eigentlich brauchen sollte, um so einen Manafluss zu kontrollieren. Auf der anderen Seite ist seine Persönlichkeit aber echt cool. Er ist niemand, der arrogant auf die Kacke haut, sondern er glänzt durch seine Präsenz. Besonders stark fand ich, dass er Menschen als Schätze ansieht. Er schätzt seine Bediensteten extrem und macht sich aktiv Gedanken darüber, wie er den Leuten, die ihm nahestehen, das Leben leichter machen kann.

  Was die Visuals angeht, bewegen wir uns hier im maximalen Standard. Es sieht alles okay aus, aber bei den Kämpfen kriege ich regelmäßig die Krise. Das ist leider dieser typische Stil: Der MC macht einen Hieb, dann kommt ganz kurz ein schwarzer Bildschirm, und in der nächsten Szene liegen plötzlich alle Gegner besiegt auf dem Boden. Ein richtig anstrengender, epischer Schlagabtausch war das nie. Für mich ist das der absolute Animations-Standard—völlig ausreichend für das, was die Serie sein will, aber eben kein optisches Highlight. Die Nebencharaktere, wie der Kaiser, sein Onkel oder die Bediensteten, die ab und zu für einen Lacher sorgen und ein schönes Gemüt haben, waren zwar ganz nett. Es war auch interessant zu sehen, welchen Intellekt sie teilweise an den Tag legen, aber sie spielen am Ende einfach nicht in derselben Liga wie der Hauptcharakter.

  Am Ende des Tages war der Unterhaltungswert für mich ein ständiges Auf und Ab. Es gab durchaus spannende Phasen, aber oft war es eben auch langweilig und extrem vorhersehbar. Man wusste meistens schon im Voraus ganz genau, wer als Nächstes was tun wird. Fürs einmalige Anschauen war das absolut okay und der Anime hat sich für das, was er ist, gut geschlagen—einen Re-Watch wird es bei mir aber definitiv nicht geben. Wer hier ohne große Erwartungen rangeht, bekommt eine solide Unterhaltung für zwischendurch, was den Anime letztendlich auf eine ehrliche Gesamtnote von 5,8 von 10 bringt.
