As for BL... there is no BL
In which a mysterious ~~nobleman~~ adventurer on vacation from his original world completes quests, collects handsome men as his friends, and gets called a twink thrice – all with as little BL as required to queerbait audiences and put off homophobes while also retaining plausible deniability.

This is an enjoyable anime for anyone looking for a casual, feel-good fantasy series with a predominantly male cast. While the setting and premise aren't groundbreaking (isekai, magic, and adventure elements) and the plot itself remains fairly low-key, the story still manages to stand out and leave a lasting impression thanks to its characters.

The cast has distinct personalities and is engaging enough to keep the viewer invested. I wouldn't say the characters are especially well-developed, but each has clearly defined traits that are consistently reflected in their motivations, mannerisms, and ways of speaking. The two main characters, in particular, remain somewhat enigmatic, which keeps the viewer curious. I also appreciated that the anime trusts its audience to draw its own conclusions about the characters instead of spelling everything out. For instance, the viewer is left to infer why the other characters become so unconditionally loyal to Lizel, as well as what may lie beneath his gentle demeanour.

As for BL, there is no BL. If you squint, you find details with queer subtext, but nothing is explicitly stated. I would consider this queerbaiting, as these details hint at, but do not depict, same-sex romance, while simultaneously including just enough of the 'are they just not bros?' element to have the LGBTQ+ Themes -tag. I would've preferred a full-out BL series, or a series that doesn't even attempt to hint at same-sex relationships. Friendship, especially between men, gets featured far too little in media.

The art isn't distinguishable in terms of style, nor do I get the impression that impressive visuals were a priority (comparing to Agents of the Four Seasons or Sparks of Tomorrow, for example), but what can I say, the men are handsome and I'm not complaining.

Both the setting and characters bring to mind Genshin Impact; someone who enjoys the game also might enjoy this series. (As I understand, Genshin Impact was released 6 years after the manga on which this series is based, and I wonder if the game was at all inspired by it. Stud, in particular, with his dark blue hair, dark past, and elemental abilities, reminds me of Kaeya.)

With the cliffhanger at the end of the last episode, I'm looking forward to and hoping there will be a second season because I've been successfully queerbaited.
