JI-U-WA U-YEON

Because of a difficult family background, Ji-U enters college later than most of her peers. Quiet and reserved, she keeps to the edges of campus life, always feeling one step out of sync with everyone else. There is one person she cannot help noticing, U-Yeon, a boy who seems to shine wherever he goes. He stands at the center of every group, laughing easily, drawing people in without effort. Compared to him, Ji-U feels invisible, and so she hides her feelings, nursing a silent crush she believes will never reach him. To Ji-U, U-Yeon appears flawless, someone untouched by hardship or pain. But one rainy day, that illusion shatters. Ji-U stumbles upon U-Yeon standing alone in the downpour, tears mixing with rain as he cries with heartbreaking beauty. In that moment, Ji-U realizes that even the brightest people carry unseen scars. And perhaps her quiet presence could become a place of comfort for him.
