  More torture? Yes please!

  My Review of "’Tis Time for “Torture,” Princess Season 2"!

  Hime-sama has returned to endure some more torture and I’m all here for it!

  ____Since this is a sequel, I will skip the usual story section and dive straight into The Good, The Bad, and The Downright Ugly.____ ____The Good____

  This season felt like an upgrade of the first season of this show. There were definitely more silly moments this time around, which I really loved. There were also a fair share of wholesome moments between Hime and the torturers which really showcases how close all of them have gotten together. Introducing a new torturer via Sakura with a connection to Hime was a fun addition and I loved the moment when they crossed paths. I cannot deny that the OP and ED for this season was spectacular. The visuals for both songs had me captivated, with the OP giving off internet-like and just overall light-hearted vibes and the ED giving wholesome and friendly energy. I kept singing and dancing along to Sunday Morning because of how catchy it was (although the episodes did air Monday morning sooooo hehe). I must say that the animation was also very eye-catching. It was so colorful, smooth, and bright and overall PINE JAM should give themselves a pat in the back for making a show like this so well animated and fluid. There really isn’t anything that this season executed badly. Although I previously complained that the show was repetitive (See my S1 review for reference), Season 2 added more depth and world-building features that really made it feel more whole and less of a cycle despite each episode still containing that feature. This season stayed in its lane and made one hell of a sequel out of it and I hope they make another one fairly soon.

  ____The Bad____

  To be honest, I have nothing bad to say about this season. I was blindsided by the beauty of the tortures and the fun shenanigans that went on with every episode. Even when there was a story, I didn’t find it bad at all. This was an amazing continuation of what already was a good show.

  ____The Downright Ugly____

  There is nothing downright ugly about this anime.

  ____Is It Worth The Watch?____

  This season is absolutely worth the watch. It took an already good show and made it even better by embracing the gimmick and charm of the show and adding some world-building elements to the world of this anime as well as a new character to the mix that added some lore to the storyline. The comedy was still funny and I really like the OP of this season. I would love some more Torture, so I’m manifesting that season 3!
