Un volumen compilación de historias publicadas en Comic LO entre 2021 - 2022 del artista Sabaku, él cuenta con otras tres compilaciones de otras historias, así que tiene 4 volúmenes a su crédito en sus aproximadamente 7 años de carrera (o por lo menos en los que ha estado activo). Este es su trabajo más reconocido debido a que sus capítulos son (en su mayoría) del mejor personaje que ha diseñado, Yoruko-san.

Yoruko se presenta como una leyenda urbana, una anécdota nocturna para quienes viven en la oscuridad de la noche, sean taxistas, asalariados apresurados en tomar el último tren, o quiénes buscan lo prohibido en sus computadores mientras el resto se alista para dormir. Y ese es su principal factor de interés, Sabaku utiliza la apariencia juvenil de Yoruko para acentuar el corrompimiento a sus víctimas, los cuáles son demostrados de victimarios con el empujón correcto.

Así se presenta con una capa extra de profundidad respecto a sus otros trabajos como autor, la ideación de Yoruko en su aspecto inocente en contraste a su actitud dispuesta a la tentación. No es una heroína ni justiciera, sus acciones son únicamente para entretenimiento de sí misma, divirtiéndose de ver el decaimiento de a quien ha tentado para que demuestre su naturaleza. Únicamente tenemos un capítulo que se diferencia de los demás dado sus sucesos, y es el perfecto ejemplo de su actitud caprichosa y origen difuso.

Presentándose de misteriosa y sin que podamos ahondar completamente en su personalidad, el resto del contexto acentúa sus cualidades, ubicarse durante horarios nocturnos le permitió varios paneles donde se contrasta entre su figura cálida y peligrosa, contra el negro de una densa noche. También tiene otros donde reluce cierto aspecto de horror, así sea intuidos, las acciones sexuales del momento son diluidas entre lo que parece real y lo que no, en un capítulo se mezclan ilusiones para justificar acciones.

Por supuesto, tampoco quiero implicar una mayor profundidad, referido a que si bien los anteriores toques son existentes y brindan interés a su narrativa, Sabaku no estaba totalmente comprometido a esa idea, sigue siendo un manga erótico en esencia. Demostrado en cómo se acentúan los atributos de Yoruko, en sus varias expresiones faciales, ocupar por completo la página en según qué momentos, y la variedad de situaciones que hacen énfasis en el atractivo de situaciones prohibidas todavía más dado su aspecto juvenil y habitual vestuario escolar.

En lo referido al compendio se incluye un capítulo de la otra narrativa reconocida del autor, reunido en el compilatorio de Sekirei-chan to Boku, y me desconcierta un poco su inclusión, especialmente porque había otro episodio de Yoruko que podría haber estado en su lugar. Además de un crossover más bien cómico entre ambos, añadido inofensivo aunque si hubiera prescindido del mismo.

Admiró la construcción y compromiso de Sabaku por dar con su leyenda urbana que poder reutilizar varias veces, donde sí que se puede aprovecharse de su estilo; autores similares únicamente apelan a tropos clásicos y estructuras reconocidas. Aún si tampoco realiza el recorrido completo, destacó la dedicación al cambio de su enfoque, y dar con su propio personaje tan característico, misterioso y atractivamente peligroso. De recomendación adicional, si te interesa sólo el dibujo y no tienes inconvenientes con tramas arquetípicas de destacable ejecución, está el mencionado Sekirei-chan to Boku.

A compilation volume of stories published in Comic LO between 2021 and 2022 by artist Sabaku, who has three other compilations of other stories to his name, giving him a total of four volumes in his approximately seven-year career (or at least during which he has been active). This is his most recognized work because its chapters are (for the most part) about the best character he has designed, Yoruko-san.

Yoruko is presented as an urban legend, a nighttime anecdote for those who live in the darkness of the night, whether they are taxi drivers, salarymen rushing to catch the last train, or those who seek the forbidden on their computers while the rest get ready for sleep. And that is her main factor of interest. Sabaku uses Yoruko's youthful appearance to accentuate the corruption of her victims, who are shown to be perpetrators with the right push.

This presents an extra layer of depth compared to his other works as an author, the ideation of Yoruko in her innocent appearance in contrast to her attitude ready for temptation. She is neither a heroine nor a vigilante; her actions are solely for her own entertainment, enjoying watching the decline of those she has tempted to reveal their true nature. We only have one chapter that differs from the others in terms of its events, and it is the perfect example of her capricious attitude and vague origins.

Presenting herself mysteriously and without allowing us to fully understand her personality, the rest of the context accentuates her qualities. Being set at night allowed for several scenes where her warm and dangerous figure contrasts with the blackness of a dense night. There are also other panels where a certain aspect of horror shines through, even if only intuited. The sexual actions of the moment are diluted between what seems real and what does not. In one chapter, illusions are mixed in to justify actions.

Of course, I don't want to imply any greater depth, referring to the fact that although the above touches exist and add interest to the narrative, Sabaku was not totally committed to that idea; it remains an erotic manga in essence. This is demonstrated in how Yoruko's attributes are accentuated in her various facial expressions, which completely fill the page at certain moments, and in the variety of situations that emphasize the appeal of forbidden situations even more, given her youthful appearance and usual school uniform.

The compendium includes a chapter from the author's other well-known narrative, collected in the Sekirei-chan to Boku compilation, and I am a little puzzled by its inclusion, especially since there was another Yoruko episode that could have been included instead. In addition to a rather comical crossover between the two, it is a harmless addition, although I could have done without it.

I admired Sabaku's construction and commitment to creating an urban legend that could be reused several times, where his style could be exploited; similar authors only appeal to classic tropes and recognized structures. Even if he doesn't go the whole way, his dedication to changing his approach and finding his own distinctive, mysterious, and attractively dangerous character stands out. As an additional recommendation, if you're only interested in the artwork and don't mind archetypal plots that are remarkably well executed, there's the aforementioned Sekirei-chan to Boku.
