90/100world's ugliest man wins the hearts of everyone -- a short review about why you should tryContinue on AniListIf you don't think you can enjoy juvenile jokes about farts and ballsacks then you should give this manhwa a try. It will drag you down to its level, mock you for it, bring out all the pettiness in your bones, and then tell you that it's more fun this way.
--- review content has no specific story spoilers but I talk about some character motifs ---
I'm writing this because I want to talk about this manhwa's main character, Lloyd, or rather Kim Suho, an average civil engineering student who finds himself taking over the body of the useless hooligan Lloyd. He's a quick-thinker, immediately able to make use of his past life knowledge to earn a profit, and also an all-around kinda nice guy. He's able to show enough emotional maturity to not give handouts out to people, having them work in exchange for pay, but at the same time he's a dumb shy boy who's too self-conscious to actually believe he can be kind so he goes hard into acting the villain, making ugly faces and laughing at the people he's employed and given generous benefits to. Truly some scary stuff there, Sir Lloyd Frontera!
Because of that dumbassery combined with his already hideous face, he's initially flagged as a shady guy to pretty much everyone else in the series. For some other good reasons too though. He's the type who will bicker with and spite anyone blessed with better looks, talents, or aura than him. He'll set aside any dignity he has left to suck up to rich people. He WILL abandon you in a fight if given the chance. The guy is pretty pathetic but he's clearly not someone who would put his goals above anyone else's well-being. It's not about wanting to be a good person, he truly believes in a world where effort should be rewarded and nobody feels helpless nor worthless- the opposite of what he's come to expect from his original world. It's easy to laugh at Lloyd because despite his flaws and disgusting facial expressions, he's just a guy trying to have fun. He bullies people not into necessarily becoming "good", but just someone who is able to build their own joy in life.
The happy end trying to be achieved here isn't one where Lloyd is a hero, but a world that doesn't need heroes in the first place.
There's other great parts of this series- good god I haven't even said a single thing about Javier or the Frontera estate!! but I've called Lloyd ugly several times in this review, so surely this is honoring the manhwa's spirit better than any other point I can make so I'll end this here.
The Greatest Estate Developer pours its heart and soul out not to seek empathy, introspection, or understanding. Its goal is more about bringing out simple emotions most of us just trying to get by tend to keep in. It's a simple-minded way to put it, but rather than dwelling on the hand you've been dealt, how good of a person you can be, or how much of the you that others see feels like a lie- regardless of how stupid or crude it seems, why not just have some fun?

100/100I Expected a Typical Isekai… I Got a Masterpiece Instead.Continue on AniListMy Thoughts on The Greatest Estate Developer
At first, I honestly thought this would be just another typical isekai manhwa. Nothing special. But wow… I was completely wrong. Once I started reading, I got hooked almost immediately. It really doesn’t follow the usual isekai formula, and it actually feels fresh without trying too hard.
What surprised me the most was how it mixes isekai with engineering. I’ve rarely seen that done in a way that actually works but here, it does. Lloyd, the main character, is a huge part of that. He’s not your usual overpowered or cliché protagonist. He’s smart, practical, and the way he solves problems is honestly fun to watch.
I never found myself bored. Every chapter kept me turning pages, and some of the later plot twists actually shocked me. I even found myself going back in my head, thinking, “Ah, that’s why that happened!” It gave the story a lot more depth and made everything feel really satisfying.
Another thing I really appreciated was how the worldbuilding quietly grows in the background without overwhelming you. The story doesn’t dump a ton of information all at once, but little by little, you start to understand how the world works, its politics, its limitations, and why Lloyd’s knowledge actually matters. His engineering skills don’t just feel like a gimmick — they have real consequences, changing people’s lives and even shifting power balances. Watching small, practical ideas turn into major developments made the progress feel earned and believable, which made the journey even more satisfying. It’s rare to see a series where intelligence and planning feel just as exciting as big fights, but this manhwa somehow makes it work perfectly.
I also really liked the balance between seriousness and lighter moments in the story. Even though the events sometimes deal with real and serious problems, the manhwa never forgets to leave room for funny situations and natural interactions between the characters. This made the atmosphere feel more realistic, like you’re living alongside the characters rather than just following a plot that jumps from one major event to another. The relationships between the characters develop gradually and convincingly, not just to serve the story, but because they genuinely feel human.
In addition, I appreciated that success in the story doesn’t come easily. Every achievement goes through stages of failure, attempts, and adjustments, which made the final results extremely satisfying. I never felt like things worked out just because the protagonist was there, but because there was real thought, effort, and planning behind every step. This kind of storytelling makes the reader respect the characters more and become more emotionally invested in their journey.
In the end, what made this manhwa special to me wasn’t only its unique concept, but how well it was executed. The small details, character development, and the connections between events all came together to create a truly enjoyable and fulfilling reading experience. After finishing it, I genuinely felt like I had read a complete, well-crafted work, not just a series of chapters for temporary entertainment — and that’s something very rare.
By the time I finished, I was genuinely impressed, especially with how some things were revealed toward the end. I almost wanted to give it a 9/10, but I realized that I didn’t dislike a single thing. Not one. So yeah, for me, it deserves a full 10/10.

90/100Refusing to fall twice...Continue on AniListI don’t even know how to properly explain how much I loved this story.
I’m not even a huge manhwa person. Furthermore, I’ve mostly been stuck in my manga/anime bubble. This being the highest rated manhwa on this platform – I definitely had my eyes on this.
When I judge a story, It's not some heavy metric, just some simple questions. Did I care about the characters? Did I care about the world? Did it contain those small interactions that actually mean something? Did it make me feel anything?
The Greatest Estate Developer well blew them out of the water dwag.
At first, it looks like your average isekai setup. Reincarnated into a novel. A system. Levels. Skills. The usual formula we’ve all seen like a bazillion times. Well, Instead of becoming another one of those slop stain stories with a 2D main character that has no personality, Lloyd Frontera – or rather, Su-Ho Kim – is much different, filled with personality and charm. The original Lloyd was basically a walking L. Drunk. Useless. Disappointing. And Su-Ho takes that reputation and flips it upside down. Su-Ho is such a dashing character if I were to describe him. He prevents disasters, he builds infrastructure, likewise, he turns land that was barely surviving into something thriving.
And well… it’s really fucking hype I can tell you that.
Watching him outplay arrogant nobles with logic and absurd methods, quite literally sucking the soul out of them instead of some aura farm shi is so satisfying. The way he traps everyone into his plans is just too fun to read. The real progression isn’t his stats going up, no, it’s villages improving, It’s people getting jobs, It’s land recovering and It’s hope slowly coming back to places that were rotting. And then there’s the comedy. The absolute unhinged and absurd facial expressions. Lloyd killed them facial expressions fs. It’s so over the top I love it man.
Su-Ho’s past life also elevates this story so much
His life before arrival at the Frontera state was ass. He, an individual Crushed by responsibility. Just a life that worked itself into the ground. The kind of exhaustion that doesn’t make you tired but instead well, slowly kills you. And then he just randomly transfers into this world, no some big flashy moment, he is just here…His obsession with money isn’t greed for the sake of being funny or anything, It’s fear, the general fear of loosing everything once again. The fear from his previous powerless life. It’s someone who never wants to feel powerless or unstable again. Wealth means control, It means security, It means never going back to that suffocating life where effort didn’t guarantee anything. That layer of trauma makes everything heavier. Every scheme. Every calculated move. Every insane amount of effort he puts into planning. He refuses to let things collapse under his watch because he knows what it feels like when everything does. A lot of characters from this genre feel lifeless as hell, Lloyd on the other hand is far from that.
And that’s why I cared so much.
Under all the chaos there is such a humane story rooted inside. Some thoughts that contain spoilers, I mean if you want to know more of what I think read this too, and well obviously this has some spoilers (major ones too) so read at your own risk...
I really liked the whole ending spoiler thing this had. Every time Su-Ho thinks he has solved every problem and can finally live his life as a rich bum BOOM the ending spoilers tells him something else. As a reader that hooked me even more since well I wanted to know how Su-Ho would get out of that situation and turn it around.
Really liked the Giyeong guy too
was Giyeong the reincarnation of the King of Hell? very well could be
also why is he not in the character database my dear anilist....
Lloyd's relationship with Javier was so strong. Javier knowing the fact that this man is not Lloyd but for the sake of the state sticking around with him and seeing the good in him has me so emotional it's so fucking beautiful man so beautiful. Lloyd's parents realizing that it's not Lloyd but still supporting him till the end and trusting him resting their fate in him is so heart touching. His relationship with queen Alicia becoming what it became gave me diabetes.
The reveal of the system actually being his dead parents at the end was so not necessary cause what do you mean man, that shit made me cry even so much like fuck you author you really made me look damn ugly while crying.
And at the end you realize that Lloyd was Su-Ho and Su-Ho was Lloyd all along. Lloyd being a bum ass human being getting reincarnated as Su-Ho and trying his best, then getting transported back into were he came from and correcting and making the world a better place. I didn't see that coming at all and it was such a surprise at the end. If you have no idea what I'm talking about then just think of a time loop, that's it.
The final season of this manhwa (last 20-30ish chapters?) were definitely the best stretch of chapters. And the final 10 chapters (not counting the side stories) they ruined me, tears after tears after tears. Every fucking chapter I was crying. Holy fuck.
Just like Su-Ho, let's find a world for ourselves.
