DESCRIPTION

Something I would pick if there was nothing better to read and this was my best option out of a pile.
SPOILERS!!!

As I am writing this I’m still reading. I’m currently on chapter 97 so I’m close to finishing, but I really don’t want to. I might as well drop it? To start it off our FL, “Viche” is a typical isekai main character. She is a dense, “I have to stick to the plot”, go-lucky girl. There are so many instances I have been frustrated while reading this series. The FL apparently has lived this life already AND read the novel of the story already yet she acts as if she has learned nothing from her past life. Her whole motto is to stick to the plot and let our ML reach his true ending, but the reason she came back to life is clearly cause the “ending” didn’t work the first time so it baffles me as to why she feels the need to try the og plot again. When she reaches the point of her fathers carriage attack she stays blaming herself when really it’s the lack of preparation that caused it to turn out that way plus she knew this would happen for many years.

Of course I get that she was transported into a different world her first thought would be to follow the plot, but if it didn’t work the first time clearly you’ll have to take a different approach. Throughout the series the ML will confess his feelings over and over while our FL brushes it off as him thinking of his feelings as something else. She insists that they are friends/family and that what he is feeling is wrong, but how would she know his feelings better than himself?

There are times where she is bearable, but most of the time she is truly dense. Our ML’s feelings for the FL are overbearing. If I had a partner like our ML in real life I would get irritated quickly by how protective he is. It feels like he’s trying to control her rather than “protect” her. Throughout the story there will be a part where our ML leaves a gift for our FL. The gift is shown as a necklace with a flower design on it. When out on the FL is unable to take it off. If I were in the FL’s position that would enrage me. It doesn’t seem cute or funny. Not to mention how quick he is to accuse her doing this or that. It’s like he doesn’t trust our FL. I do understand him. He’s already confessed his feelings for her and she keeps denying them or acting oblivious to it. I do like that he gets his point across quite quickly and doesn’t hesitate.

I find it endearing that he turned back time for her multiple times just to be with her. For the most part he is bearable, but in all honesty I was kinda rooting for the second ML. He was a breath of fresh air compared to our main couple.
At the beginning of the story it did not mention much of the plot of the novel. It did hit the important parts like our FL’s sacrifice, how that led to our ML’s tyranny, and how she thought that by following the plot of the novel she would return back to her original world. So when our antagonist the second FL appeared and she says that maybe elements of the novel still lingered I was a little surprised cause I did not think there would be another “second female lead.”

Before I continue my thought I want to bring up how she basically forced a role of high position onto the novels FL. (Just so this doesn’t cause confusion the novels FL is the og FL. She is the one Viche forces a role upon.) When she finds out she has met our og FL she brings her to the temple all within the same day to get her to take a test. The results come and tada she’s the saintess!! When the kingdom find out they prepare everything for her and she is now found with these new duties/roles she didn’t have before. She even says she wonders how this happened and where did she go wrong for this to happen to her. On top of all this Viche continues to play Cupid and tries to set up our ML with our og FL.

Back to what I was saying I wish we could’ve gotten more information on the novel. Our antagonist drags on the problem. What should’ve been over a couple chapters ago just continues.? Her whole “I will do whatever it takes to be the empress. Nerpassians always get what we want in whatever way it takes,” thing is pissing me off. When she intoxicated our FL I was furious. If I was paralyzed then drugged right after I would have started crying tears of anger. Then again it’s a story so I shouldn’t take it into heart too much.

I did have a couple good laughs while reading. I love the Fl and ML’s bond with the FL’s cousins. It was sweet to see them stick together. That’s all I can say though.

Again these are my opinions! This read feels like something I would read if there was nothing better to read and this was my best option out of a pile. If this floats your boat though good for you! Happy reads!
