45/100It's great until it isn't.Continue on AniListTL;DR: It's a fairly generic cultivation murim series that pulls a Nano Machine halfway through and sidelines the main FMC for a forgettable side girl with zero personality or character traits beyond her furst appearance. It's barely a good turn-your-brain-off read with how infuriating some of the writing decisions are and how many times the same cliches get reused. At the end of the day, this is a series that needs an enormous amount of faith and willpower to get through, continuously riding on the will it get better train while it never gets better.
This series starts off slow, builds up to an absolutely fantastic middle arc, and then gets shot in the gut 257 times by the author for fanservice. Spoilers ahead, obviously.
This series doesn't really pick up until about 50 chapters in, honestly. The beginning is dumb and outlandish, the constant mockery gets old fast, and the premise is weak. You're not reading this if you're big on the story, though. In place of a weak story is well choreographed and interesting characters and character development that, although rushed at times, drives it to be further and further interesting.
This is fine, usually, when you continue developing character relationships and dynamics while exploring the overall plot just a bit at a time. It's how most manhwa gets written, after all. Until it isn't. Beyond chapter 100-110 the author single handedly kills off the most interesting character dynamic that they had going, Wu-Moon and Mara, in order to give the other love interest a power up into the Heavenly Demon and feign tragedy. It's not just a rug pull but a spit in the face to anyone following this series how I described it.
From this point onwards, the series drops all of that interesting dynamic and development in order to drive the plot, which as stated prior, sucks shit. It's a generic "big bad secret organization" setup but it never posits them as a reasonable and contiguous threat to the MC's lifestyle. They're just evil for the sake of being evil, and end up being metaphors for fascism later on (why???).
The author commits character terrorism on so many different levels in order to pander to the harem fans and the fans of the other FMC, who had literally zero involvement in the plot up until her power up and was being actively phased out. But of course, this is a cultivation-heavy murim series, the fuck did I expect.
This series is a long ride to the top. A long one, but right when it gets there it trips, falls, crashes, and burns in a fiery demise, with a spit in the face for good measure. If's outright insulting to have followed this for so long, honestly.

10/100Author destroys last hint of it being goodContinue on AniListSPOILER SPOILER SPOILER ALERT
tl;dr was okay, was readable, but leave enough dogshit lying around and eventually it's all you can smell.
PROS
Cool idea; Art becomes Martial Art
Mc is meritocratic
CONS
Smart mc is actually a moron
Mcs struggles with morals are extremely limited and swayed away in the next sentence.
"Moments" don't get their moments. This manhwa starts off really strongly with everyone being weak.
MC is the older brother who has an incredibly weak constitution, the younger brother has a good constitution.
Younger brother gets scouted by some martial artists.
Some old geezer comes and drops some heavy art on these kids.
MC is a bright kid who gets enthralled with this giga art loses tracks of days on end, the dad who is the only capable person left in the family slowly loses it from the mc being enthralled by this painting for years. Eventually that ends because some other geezer tries to yoink this painting for money and the dad is so horribly desperate to get rid of it the he sells it for ultra cheap (he lacks critical information). All of this is really cool, I don't really rate when shits going smoothly I just wanna enjoy the ride and not approach it critically so I can enjoy it the way it is meant to be enjoyed.
One day the mc is hired as a warrior escort, during which he meets gramps, who is a fucking unit of a man and looks same age as mc and teaches mc some cool shit.
Mc goes back to his own house, gramps reveals he's mc's gramps.
They then go to find the younger brother who is facing scrutiny for not being a nepo baby, and they announce to the entire area that they're in that the younger brother is also the son of this great gramps or whatever, showing you that he is in fact a nepo baby and therefor shouldn't be looked down upon.Interest drops.
WE MUST CONTINUE THE READING BECAUSE IT MIGHT BE GOOD.They go to gramps base.
attempts on lives happen, mc chases guy that looked to be responsible but the guy thrusts his weapon into his own heart and instead of bringing his head back or just his body to question the culprits about who that man is he just goes "oh hes dead" and leaves. Mc's smarts are evidently not present here. Then some other character magically revives this guy with some undeath acupuncture finger whatever.Interest drops rapidly
BUT IM COMMITTED IVE STARTED READING WE MUST PUSH ONWARDS TO A BRIGHTER FUTURE SURELY IT'S WORTH READING.A lot of chapters are muddied together in my head because they lack set up and connection to each other.
Doesn't feel like a lot of effort just "this shit happens, bla bla bla".
Every enemy feels like they're just filled with rage for no actual reason, just rage and hatred because.. evil? idk.Eventually the author starts killing off enjoyable power houses, in order for other characters to shine to grow to replace these power houses?
One powerhouse asks mc for favour (THIS MIGHT ACTUALLY BE REALLY COOL AND INTERESTING)Here's where the issues start being too visible for me to close my eyes and "just enjoy the ride".
Suddenly there's a fat eunuch who is actually a hidden power master level 9000 and regrew his balls, who is just pretending to be a normal guy while he secretly fucks every woman in the kingdoms palace, including the princess that you are introduced to 5 chapters earlier.
This is where the illusion of this being a readable manhwa shatters. As I write this I realize there's never an actual good panel where fighting has been resolved in a satisfying manner.
Power levels are never visualized just named.I would never recommend anyone trying to get into this because it's ultimately mid and does not get better, if you're struggling with the length because there's nothing happening it's because it's simply not good. Cool intro, cool characters, that were unfortunately killed. Starts to really drop off until this last straw hit me. Which was unfortunate because I wanted to see him be that kid's master. I however will not eat a shit filled burger just to taste the sauce.
