85/100Mindless entertainment but don't expect lore!Continue on AniList20,000ft commentary and recommendation:
A story of OP protagonists doing OP High-Tech things in a Low-Tech world. This is yet another example of 'More Isekai trash/garbage' but for those of us out there that like Isekai and OP characters this may be one of the more enjoyable shows as it excels at it’s intended purpose of mindless entertainment, I think this show is worth watching if you're a fan either Isekai or OP characters.
Let me make this very clear: If you dislike Isekai shows, 'demi-god/nigh-omniscient' OP characters or are looking for a show with character/lore depth or realism in its themes (AKA - not generic 'trash') then this is NOT the show for you.
If you're still here and are looking for the equivalent of 'the McDonalds of Anime' then you're likely going to be able to at least finish this show. The show is left with a rather open ending in which closes very few of the opened storylines, as usual, don't expect this show to get a second season. It does, however, succeed in being reasonably good mindless entertainment capable of providing a few moments of ‘holy sh*t they’re OP.’
As noted by a fellow user the following is "how not to write a review 101" and has been left mostly un-altered as an example to others.
Plot concept, Depth & Lore, Execution & Development:
As we've come to expect from the Isekai genre the show is not thought-provoking nor is it a tale of great character development. However, in my opinion, like a slice of chocolate cake and Ice-cream in the same bowl, it seeks to entertain by allowing the viewer to veg-out and giggle at 'perfect planning' and 'genius' characters with witty clap-backs and moments of 'Taking the nuke to the sword fight' level trouncing.
This show, as expected, doesn't have the deepest lore, nor does it have huge amounts of character development. The concept of the show is what saves this score, not 'Original' per se but certainly nothing similar immediately comes to mind. The plot develops exactly as you would expect - a little predictable but, for a show that isn't trying to make you think it does its job.
Characters & Development:
The Characters in the show are mostly presented as a 'genius' in a certain area. As they were acquainted prior to the show beginning there is no serious conflict internally and they already work well together. Typically this will mean that they are all cliched stereotypical characters, while this mostly accurate they are saved by none of them having irritating 'drawback' tropes such as 'Harem' - THIS IS NOT A HAREM (thank the lawd) or 'total inability to interact with the opposite sex' etc.
Audio & Visual Elements:
The visuals department isn't going to 'wow' like an insert the show/film you think is most pretty here and the audio tracks aren't going to be a 'Buy the OST' like an insert the show/film you think has the best musical score here but they do the job and serve their purpose. Of the 2 the visual effects and art are the stronger punching above average for its class and genre.

25/100It's really really bad, even for a bad isekai. Even I, a veteran of all things isekai, couldn't stand it. Don't watch.Continue on AniListOk, I'll be honest here: I am an avid lover of all things isekai. My standards for isekai and isekai related things are extremely low. And I found this show to be abysmal. I've even read the manga, and idk if I just payed even less attention then, or if the anime is just worse, but man I could not get through this show.
__Characters:__ The characters are extremely 2 dimensional, even for an isekai. They are all extraordinarily overpowered, but without any reasons or explanations. A couple of them can just be explained by them being extremely smart about a specific subject, specifically the businessman and the politician, but for characters like the swordswoman who is just ludicrously strong somehow with no explanation it just feels lame. We see shots of her in the real world charging on the front lines in a war, deflecting bullets like Kirito from the ggo arc. The ninja/journalist girl is just a naruto character who never bothered to learn any attacks other than a tazer that she carries around. The engineer girl just is some super genius that would make Senku jealous, without any explanation how. They make a nuclear reactor in the new world almost immediately. There's also a magician kid who is supposedly just using magic tricks from irl, but does stuff like save an entire village from a fire, and then make them reappear from thin air a few full minutes later and they all go "whoa, we're still alive!" so did he chloroform them or something? How do they not all know what just happened? The characters all make the concept of Kirito being Jesus look like you're trying to call an inchworm God. They can just do whatever the show wants them to do. Oh, a big monster showed up? Sword girl can just cut it once and it's dead. You get the picture.
__Events:__ To say that things get off to a bad start would be an understatement. One of the very first things to happen is that a Leafa knockoff without wings decides the best course of action is to chew up food and then feed it to the "MC" (politician) mouth to mouth style. (btw to reinforce the Leafa connection, in the dub they have the same VA even.) She also of course gets kidnapped to be raped within the next few episodes. In between those two events there's an arc where the businessman goes to the city to sell stuff, and that part is honestly legitimately somewhat interesting, but that's about the only good thing I can say. The whole kidnapping thing immediately afterwards involves a guy who looks like if pot of greed was a person. Seriously. Look at them.

This guy's castle promptly falls to the village armed with some magic super metal shields that are super light and strong so the villagers can storm the castle easily. Meanwhile the great wizard of the castle gets beaten by ninja girl cause he sucked, and MC scares the lord unconscious using a gun with rubber bullets. (cause actually killing him would be wrong of course)__Verdict:__ Just don't watch it, it's not worth your time, unless you're truly a degenerate isekai lover who's watched everything else out there.

0/100If you have any respect for yourself do not watch this showContinue on AniListHigh School Prodigies Have It Easy Even in Another World: A Masterclass in How Not to Write Isekai
Let’s not beat around the bush here. High School Prodigies Have It Easy Even in Another World isn’t just bad. It’s an insult to anime in general. While many isekai anime lean into overpowered protagonists and power fantasies, this show takes those tropes, cranks them up to a twelve, and somehow still manages to fall flat on its face. It is an excruciating experience that somehow feels both slow and insultingly rushed, wasting time that no viewer will ever get back.
Characters: The Golden Children of Perfection
The first and most glaring issue is the characters. Each of these seven high school prodigies is essentially a flawless demigod. Whether it’s genius level medicine, politics, engineering, economics, or even magic, there is no sense of struggle or nuance. These characters do not grow, do not fail, and certainly do not face anything resembling real danger. They simply dominate every situation with an unearned air of superiority, turning the narrative into a shallow showcase of their already established brilliance.
The problem with this level of perfection is that it leaves no room for development or connection. Good characters are defined by their flaws, struggles, and humanity. Here, the prodigies have none of these things. Their arrogance and universal competence make them insufferable and annoying rather than impressive. It feels like the writers were so enamored with their own creations that they forgot to give them actual personalities or depth.
The result is a cast that feels less like a group of people and more like walking, talking Game Genie cheat codes.
Plot: A Never Ending Parade of Handouts
The plot is just as nonsensical as the characters, if not worse. After being transported to a fantasy world, the protagonists face no real challenge adapting to their new surroundings. Unlike other isekai where characters must learn, struggle, or fight to survive, these protagonists seamlessly integrate as if the world was designed specifically for them.
In fact, the world bends over backward to accommodate their every whim, rendering any sense of stakes or tension completely pointless. For example, they somehow manage to build a fucking nuclear reactor with almost no effort at all.
The story becomes an endless series of shallow scenarios designed solely to highlight the protagonists’ genius. Political crises are solved instantly. Incurable diseases are cured without effort. Entire technological revolutions happen with robotic precision. There is no sense of learning, sacrifice, or risk involved. Watching this feels like watching someone play a video game on god mode while skipping every cutscene. Any sense of excitement or engagement is completely void of enjoyment.
Pacing: Bloated and Exhausting
Even worse, the pacing somehow manages to drag despite the nonstop avalanche of power fantasy moments. The story feels bloated with meaningless plot devices and hollow achievements, leaving the viewer bored, exhausted, and pissed off. Every victory feels unearned. Every success feels like a shallow waste of time.
Instead of rooting for the characters, you end up wishing they would all just die again so the series would finally end.
Final Verdict
High School Prodigies Have It Easy Even in Another World is just another bland, generic, terrible cliché isekai anime that is not worth the time you will never get back from watching it. This show is god awful and easily one of the worst isekai anime I have ever seen.
updated review for easier readability since I messed up the formatting the first time since I was really annoyed after watching this.
