DESCRIPTION

In this world, cats aren't furry four-footed creatures, but human-like girls with ears, tails, and cat-like behaviors. Still kept as pets, they're allowed out on their own if they pass a special training and wear their bells. A young man running his own patisserie lives with two of these cats, Chocola and Vanilla, who help him out around the store. Maple and Cinnamon, two of the cats from home, also come in everyday, and together they enjoy a sweet life. Even if the cats don't always get along – and Azuki and Coconut certainly don't – things are peaceful and calm until a stray kitten follows Chocola home.

Despite the cat girls, this show is a waste of time
Plot
There are 6 cat girls that work at a patisserie run by one of the owners (the owners of cat girls are called masters) of the cat girls. In this universe cat girls are treated like cats and not like humans like a subspecies which I would be fine with if cat boys were shown on screen too, with just cat girls being shown like this it looks like they're treating young women as subhuman and not the species like on one hand the cat girls play with cat toys and have cat like mannerisms have cat ears and cat tails but then on the other they communicate to the human owners/masters in English (in my case) and then they wear human clothes and they use a human toilet. It's odd to say the least

Characters
Human characters:
Shigure and Kashou Minazuki- They're siblings who own the seven cat girls in the show, she is Kashou's younger sister. she's motherly to the cat girls and she is also a crazy cat lady who takes a lot of pictures of her cat girls to post online she's a little bit creepy for her love of the cat girls to be honest. Kashou is Shigure's older brother who runs the patisserie, he's pretty bland and just goes with the flow of the cat girl shenanigans or he's off screen. I'm glad he wasn't a pervert.

Cat girl characters:
Chocola- She's energetic extroverted and a hard worker.
Vanilla- She is Chocola's sister. She's calm and collected. The only thing I don't like about her is her siscon-like relationship to her sister. Moments that I would have seen as endearing and sweet seem icky and inappropriate because of how vanilla thinks about her sister.
Azuki- She has a lot of energy, she can be rude sometimes but really cares about her family kind of like a tsundere.
Coconut- Is seen as cool but in truth she's clumsy she fights with Azuki a lot. They badmouth each other and don't seem to get along but that's just how her sistership with Azaki is.
Maple- Is serious and put together.
Cinnamon- Is shy but is also very perverted and horny towards Maple. it's gross to see.
Cacao- Is a child cat girl that Chocola found. She's cute and quiet.

Story flow
Each episode is pretty episodic the furthest the plot will go is 2 episodes other than the barely overarching plot of cacao being there. The episodic stories build off of misunderstandings and bad communication between characters, it becomes very formulaic very quick. The stories are one noted and bland.

Character dynamics
In case you couldn't tell the cat girl characters are in pairs. (other than cacao) Chocola and Vanilla's is chill, Coconut and Azuki's is fiery, Maple and Cinnamon's is serious and shy or unrequited. I don't know what their pair is, the show doesn't make it clear.

Fanservice
Episode 1 it seemed that the fanservice wouldn't be that present in this show but it is. There are two episodes where the cat girls do a health checkup and both times all the cat girls (minus cacao thank goodness) are in their underwear and get their breast measured aside from that there are close up shots of azuki and coconuts butts. Fanservice here feels cheap and very unnecessary only here to keep the audience's attention. Coconut wears A revealing outfit and Cinnamon has cleavage out, same with Coconut

Soundtrack
Basic boring and forgettable.

Visuals
The art style is very basic, looks like a lot of other anime out there. The animation was just the bare minimum, nothing remarkable. Occasionally a scene word look pretty good but nothing amazing.

Dub or sub?
I watched the dub and it was surprisingly good. Everyone seemed really into their roles except Kashou's voice actor, he talked with little to no emotion. Also I don't know why, but Maple's voice acting seemed odd like it didn't fit in with the rest of the cast.

Liked
My favorite character in the show was Azuki. She's petite, fiery, and reminds me that I can be kind of harsh with my family sometimes but I do ultimately love and care them just like she does. she has a very cute design.

Disliked
Cinnamon's hair color looks so out of place with the rest of the cast. The rest of the cast has natural hair colors like light red, brown, white, cream, but cinnamon has this bright blue hair color that sticks out so much from the rest of the cast. Cinnamon's main outfit also clashes with the rest of the cast. The outfits they all wear are cute and don't have too many colors or elements going on but cinnamons outfit just sticks out so much. It has gloves and socks that are light green which I feel like clashes with her hair and then her dress color is a different blue than her hair. She has red accents for her shoes, bows, and collar. It's just it's too extravagant. there's too much going on.

Would I recommend?
No I think there are more interesting or better anime with cat girls and/or maids involved

3/10

Optional part of review: how Christian is it?
Aside from the theme of found family and the cat girls being good at serving others it's not Christian at all due to the fanservice mentioned earlier so yeah, not appropriate for Christian viewing and not worth it either.
